The entire house has been reconfigured to ensure that it is barrier free and fully accessible to guests

Through the large entrance hall you enter the spacious lounge dining area boasting amazing sea views our across Playa Blanca all the way to Playa Papagayo. The dining table is fully wheelchair accessible as are all the doors (min width 94cm)

Into the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stylish Smeg appliances (toaster, juicer, kettle and blender), new stove (built in 2025) and fully automatic coffee machine from DeLonghi. The sink has been opened up so as to provided easy access for wheelchair users.

The first double bedrooms off the dining area offers both pool and mountain views. The double opening doors give direct access to the terrace and pool. Having a recently renovated en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over.

The second double bedroom off the lounge area, benefits from recently installed air conditioning and also has an en-suite bathroom.

Through the corridor off the entrance hall brings you to the Mater Suite. As this area is separated from the rest of the house by a hallway it is a very quiet and peaceful space. The bedroom itself is over 20 m², having connected large single beds for versatility and benefits air conditioning. The completely handicap-friendly bathroom is a spacious 9,5 m² and has recently been completely renovated. In the colder weeks of the year, the bathroom can be warmed by underfloor heating. There are also two large wardrobes with mirror in the hallway.

The accessible bathroom has a huge range of essential items for your comfort including armrests on the toilet (left and right), folding seat (mounted on the wall), various grab bars, both a rain fall shower and a handheld shower and sink, all doors again are minimum 94cm width. (A dolphin shower wheelchair can be made available upon request)

The villa has a spectacular pool area, with sofas for lounging and relaxing, An outside dining area to enjoy a BBQ and a fridge to keep those drink cold while outside, all while taking in the spectacular views across Playa Blanca and the Papagayo Beaches. The heated private pool itself is a generous 7 x 3,5 m² . Upon guests request, the pool can be heated to a self-selected temperature before arrival. (For disabled guests we provide a pool lift, which guests with limited mobility may use. The use of the pool lift is available upon request and is used at the guests own risk, as we cannot accept liability for incorrect usage.

There are multiple terrace at the villa to offer you the ability to have a little time away from each other while still taking in the sunshine and views. The outside areas run seamlessly into the house via the ramps that have been installed to ensure total accessibility for all.

The entrance driveway is also very spacious and can accommodate 2 cars. The driveway has a maximum slope of 6 degrees - so it can also be mastered by wheelchair users.

Other things to note

The house is handicap accessible. One of the homeowners is a wheelchair user. There is no television in Villa Calle Japon, the owners made the decision to create a space that is to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings. However, they do have the best high speed internet that you can get in Playa Blanca so that guests can stream and work with no problem at all on their chosen devices.
