A charming central portcullis arch marks the entrance to the beautiful community of Parque Del Rey, which translates to Park of the King. Beyond this unique entrance, the road branches left and right, leading to one of two peaceful exits from this serene enclave of 70 villas.

You'll find a harmonious mix of holiday homes and residences owned by locals. Each villa boasts a pretty garden, a gated driveway, and many offer sea views. All enjoy stunning vistas of Montaña Roja and the majestic Rubicon Mountain Range.

The landscape here is beautifully flat and peaceful — ideal for both couples and families. While some villas have just a couple of easily manageable garden steps, the entire area is pushchair and wheelchair-friendly, with smooth, level access all the way to the seafront and the welcoming village of Playa Blanca.

• Turn left out of Parque Del Rey, and in just 8 minutes you’ll reach Supermerloby, a well-stocked mini-market where you’ll find holiday essentials, including fresh bread, fruit, vegetables, and local wine.

• Turn right, and within 6 minutes you'll arrive at the Cordoba Hotel, which has its own supermarket. Hotel facilities are available to guests and visitors alike.

You'll also pass a reliable and regular bus stop at the end of the road, connecting you easily with the wider area. Prefer a quick ride? A taxi to the Hiperdino supermarket in the village costs just a few euros, offering a wide selection of fresh fish, meat, baked bread, and everything you might need for your stay.

Back at your villa, you can light the barbecue, take a swim while the charcoal heats up, and stretch out on your sunbed in the privacy of your walled garden. Life here is all about easy living and peaceful moments.

Take a right turn out of Parque Del Rey and head toward the sea. On your way, you'll pass tennis courts and a well-trodden path that leads directly to the harbour — a picturesque mix of traditional fishing boats and grand ferry vessels.

You’ll find yourself in the Punta Limones area, where the nearby commercial centre hosts a variety of bars, clubs, and restaurants — including, surprisingly, a proper fish & chip shop! Popular spots like Popeye’s and the Irish Anvil serve up hearty pub fare and live entertainment.

Stroll further to the pedestrianised shopping street of Playa Blanca, where you can enjoy stunning sea views between browsing shops, bars, and restaurants. Whether you're in the mood for tapas or a tipple, you’ll find plenty to satisfy your tastes.
