The villa has an electrically heated, private pool in the back garden which means that you can enjoy tropical water all year round!

There is off road parking on the gated drive, beside a traditional canarian garden.

The villa is semi-detached and has a lounge with kitchen, bathroom and large master bedroom with king size bed and a twin bedded room.

There is both an indoor dining room and an outdoor dining area with a table and four chairs and a patio with sun loungers.

There is a fully fitted kitchen, including microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer and washing machine.

There are twin leather settess, a TV with UK channels and DVD player with films and plenty of books/games for your holiday enjoyment!

The villa is furnished and equipped to a high standard. It is suitable for four people and a baby/small child in a cot or Zbed.

There is a security safe in the villa.

We even have an iron, ironing board and hairdryer in the villa - meaning you can pack lightly!

A central portcullis arch leads you to the beautiful community of Parque Del Rey, which translates to Park of the King.

After the only central entrance, you can veer to the left or right which will lead you to one of the two exits of Parque Del Rey. Within the community of 70 villas, you will find a mix of holiday and locals homes.

They all have pretty gardens, and gated driveways, some with sea views, and all have stunning views of Montana Roja and the Rubicon Range of Mountains.

This tranquil totally flat landscape setting is certainly one to be enjoyed for couples and families alike. Although some of the villas have 2 easily negotiated garden steps. Whether you are pushing a buggy or being pushed in a chair it is a flat and easy route to the sea front and wheel/push chair friendly village of Playa Blanca.

If you exit left, you can walk in 8 minutes or so to the mini market Supermerloby, there you can buy holiday essentials, including fresh bread, fruit, vegetables and local vino.

Take a right, and the Cordoba Hotel has a supermarket, just 6 minutes or so away. You can use the facilities at the hotel too if you wish.

You will pass the bus stop at the end of the road, which is a reliable, regular service.

Otherwise, a taxi from Parque Del Rey to Hiperdino the large supermarket in the Village will cost a few euros. You can buy all you need here, including fresh fish, meat and in store baked bread.

Head back to your villa in Parque Del Rey, light your BBQ, have a swim while the charcoal is heating up. Stretch out on your sunbed and relax in the privacy of your walled garden.

If you take a right out of Parque Del Rey, and walk towards the sea, you will see some tennis courts with a well trodden path, alongside. Take this and in no time at all you will be at the harbour. A traditional pretty harbour, with the small fishing boats and by contrast the grand ferry boats too.

Punta Limones is the area you have walked to, and in the commercial center to your right, there are numerous bars, clubs and restaurants, including a wait for it…Chip shop! Popeyes serves great pub food, as does the Irish Anvil, entertainment is fabulous there too.

Stride out to the left to discover the pedestrianised shopping street of Playa Blanca, admire the sea views in-between the shops, restaurants and bars, whether it is Tapas or Tipple you are after, you will find it here!

The villa is very good. It was clean and well laid out on arrival. There are some lovely touches and the information folder is good. We received a thorough clean midway through our stay by a very efficient cleaner and the pool was kept clean. All members of the team we saw were very friendly.

Marie (Guest Services Manager) made a courtesy call on Day 1 to make sure we were ok. Neil the pool cleaner was a great guy and we had some good chats with him. The cleaner was also very friendly. We hope to return in May with our parents.

If anyone has any reservations about booking this villa then please don't hesitate, it is even more beautiful than the pictures. We stayed with our 2 daughters (18 and 16) and it was perfect for all of us.The pool lighting and heating made it possible to have a lovely swim after the walk back from the restaurants in Playa Blanca. All staff at MVP, particularly Neil the pool man were really friendly and helpful and we really appreciated being allowed to stay a little longer on our last day. We'll certainly be back. Hi Marie, Just to say sorry we missed saying hi to you, we had a great week at the villa which was lovely-particularly the lovely warm swimming pool! The kids thought it was great that they could still use the pool in the rain on Wednesday morning! The carnival was great as well, I'm sure they were all relieved that the weather brightened up. From the pictures on the internet the villa and the layout on a whole looked lovely, in particular the pool in the back. We had no problems in terms of getting to and in the villa and once we arrived we were gretted by the outstanding presentation of Casa Mariquita which exceeded all of our expectations. Lanzarotelates.com very helpful and straight forward, the villa was perfect, home from home just how I like it, the provisions provided were much appreciated too! The villa was probably better than expected and a lady came to change the towels, she was very pleasant.
