Playa Blanca is about 45 mins (45 km) from the airport by car, and features the stylish Rubicon Marina which is sure to delight the afternoon or evening diner. Playa Blanca also has a church and a harbour with ferries to Fuerteventura. Playa Blanca boasts one of the longest seafront promenades in Europe. Stretching a huge 7.5 km starting at Papagayo and reaching as far as Faro Park you can be sure of some of the best views of the island with many bars and shops to keep you amused and refreshed.
Playa Blanca was once just a small fishing village but now it's one of the most popular resorts on the island. Recent years have seen huge development and some of the most beautiful hotels and restaurants have followed. The Marina Rubicon offers some very sophisticated dining all day, while the beach front has enough variation and excitement to please everyone. If you'd like a trip out, there are plenty of options from ferries to boat trips from the harbour including day trips to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.
