Just a walk over the headland, which is breathtaking in its natural beauty alone, and you are at the wonderful 8 beaches of Papagayo.  Fine golden sands, varying between 100 to 400metres in length, Undulating landscapes, rocky coves and the sparkling clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Puerto Rubicon takes its name from the ever-visible amazing Rubicon Range of Mountains, which are an incredible backdrop for the area. The clouds form fascinating patterns on them and the colour changes depending on the time of day.

Your can watch the sunrise above the Mountains as a spectacular orange ball, super to see and the warmth is out of this world. Follow it all day, and on your right see it extinguished by the sea.  Having the sea front promenade on your doorstep is ideal. It is such a delightful walk along to the 5 star Marina Rubicon, and beyond into the village of Playa Blanca. In fact, this promenade is one of the longest in Europe, with only one small road to cross by the port, and a couple of breaks, it will lead you past the Lighthouse at the southern most tip of the island and beyond.

The promenade is lined with an abundance of luxury hotels, interesting shops and fabulous restaurants and bars.

Just after the Marina, you will find the glorious Playa Dorada, everything happens here, with all the water sports you can think of beside endless white sand and sun beds and sunshades to hire.  Before you reach Papagayo beaches, you can discover a natural coastline beach, a sparkling gem where little fish dart in shoals, crabs clamber through rock pools and the boats, water ferries cross in front of you to and fro from Papagayo.
